Baseball Billboards at Washington Nationals Stadium

The Washington Nationals Baseball team opened their brand new stadium in March 2008 and I am really excited that four of my baseball illustrations are being used on the outside of the stadium. Check it out, they are huge!

Columbia Gorge Resort, Washington State

Skamania Lodge, in the Columbia Gorge, is a gorgeous place. I worked with art director Karen Matheson to produce indigenous Indian art inspired illustrations for their tourist information area. This included several icons that they use for promoting seasonal activities in the Columbia Gorge as well as services and amenities offered at the Lodge. This was a great project to work on. The digital art that I created for the Map of the Gorge, that you see here, was printed and applied as wallpaper on the wall of the information center.  It was a really interesting process. Some of the icons were also used in a carpet that was created for the main entry area of the lodge.

The map art is also used at the Bonneville Dam Fish Ladder viewing area. Bonneville Dam is another great destination in the Columbia Gorge on the Oregon side of the Columbia River.

Magazine Covers

I really enjoy doing these regular covers for IEEE Magazine. The subjects are always way over my head and it’s great fun to try to make sense out of the subject that I am supposed to illustrate. I have also done regular covers for H&R Magazine. Here are two of the many covers I have done for IEEE Magazine.

Baseball Book Covers

Jim Brosnan is the author of two great baseball books and they have my illustrations on the cover. The Long Season has been rated in the top 20 sports books of all time by Sports Illustrated. Check it out at amazon.com
